Why tin't we play 8 players on two switches (MARIO Kart palatial)

This was probably one of the biggest disappointments for me about the game. I loved the game, it's my almost played switch game, but I really wish I could connect two, or even three switches, and have four players on each switch. It would make local play much easier for larger groups. I wish at that place was an answer for this.

I hate to say information technology simply the day we had eight people over to play mk8, and discovered nosotros could only play 2 on each switch, we digitally bought and downloaded 2 boosted copies of the game to get us upwards to 8 role player capacity.
Possibly this is why, they sell more than games

I don't think I've seen an official statement on this event, although Information technology probably has something to do with the amount of bluetooth connections that would require being as well many in one area.

My guess is that it is probably a technical reason of some kind. Nintendo has never said why they made that decision.

Information technology has naught to do with Switch limitations. It is a design determination carried over from the Wii U version, which was the aforementioned.

It probably has more to do with being a port or the game engine they are using. There's no example of wireless play in the original MK8, especially having upward to viii players between two consoles. The closest implementation in the original was online play, which only allows upward to two players every bit well. Since Arms is besides developed by the aforementioned squad, I assume this is why arms has the same limitation with only 2 online and ii per panel in wireless play.
